This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Efficiently process, assess where relevant, and release client shipments in line with operational procedures and service standards.
• Prepare customs entries by examining documentation and selecting suitable clients, vendors, keywords, and HS codes.
• Input shipment details for release, assessment, and billing, ensuring all mandatory fields are filled out accurately.
• Determine the correct value for duties and tariff classifications based on invoice details and sales terms.
• Reach out to Release Import Analysts or client service teams for any missing documentation, information, or directives.
• Verify documents for release conditions, compliance, rating accuracy, and free trade certificates.
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), exceptional service practices (ESPs), business rules, special client instructions, notes, and alerts.
• Recognize outdated or inefficient procedures and suggest improvements.
• Investigate and professionally address Call Center inquiries via phone or email in non-Air/Sea locations.
• Prioritize and complete tasks in accordance with client and customs requirements.
• Escalate two-step release requirements, authorization matters, and release issues for resolution.
• Update, approve, and release billing information as necessary in Canada.
• Assist with billing and ASR automated systems rating when required.
• Collaborate in daily Release Operations with fellow team members.
• Utilize available system automation tools to enhance release processing.
• Undertake other related duties as assigned by management.
• Comply with established policies and procedures.
• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent is required.
• Actively pursuing or successfully completing the Certified Customs Specialists (CCS) designation with CSCB or NCBFAA is necessary if not already acquired.
• Completion of the CCS examination is essential for further career progression.
• Proficiency in Word and Excel software applications.
• Strong oral and written communication and organizational skills.
• Client service-focused interpersonal skills.

• Strong attention to detail, organization, completeness, and accuracy.
