This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +1 more state.
• Establish Talcott’s retail distribution framework.
• Formulate and execute both short-term and long-term strategies aimed at enhancing client relationships, generating new business opportunities, and driving revenue growth.
• Collaborate across various functions to comprehend how product enhancements and service improvements influence company strategy and operational requirements.
• Partner closely with the Head of Retail Distribution to create business plans that optimize sales and fulfill growth targets.
• Connect with IMO marketers, independent agents, and financial advisors to advocate for Talcott annuity sales.
• Allocate 70% of time to face-to-face meetings with IMO principals, marketers, and agents, and 30% in the home office making outbound calls.
• Establish and sustain relationships with marketers and producers while communicating updates regarding market trends, industry developments, and product information.
• Identify and cultivate new advisors while reinforcing relationships with existing advisors.
• Propel sales through outbound calls, webinars, field activities, and in-person engagements.
• Implement regular contact with assigned agents and marketers.
• Design, implement, and follow up on email marketing campaigns.
• Organize, coordinate, and lead national conference calls, webinars, GoToMeetings, and marketing campaigns.
• Provide product and sales training through individual and group sessions, seminars, workshops, and conferences.
• Strategically allocate resources within the assigned territory through marketing and sales initiatives.
• Manage budget and expense accounts.
• Utilize CRM software daily to document contacts, notes, activities, and follow-ups.
• Uphold a high standard of professional conduct.
• Leverage extensive knowledge of fixed and fixed indexed annuities and their significance in clients’ overall financial strategies.
• At least 5 years of pertinent industry sales experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Proficiency in 'Digital' and 'Virtual' skills with the capability to contribute to future system developments.
• Experience in the annuity sales industry is highly desirable.
• Strong preference for candidates with IMO channel experience.
• State insurance license is highly preferred.
• Competence in navigating computer programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
• Familiarity with annuity illustration software is preferred.
• Must demonstrate initiative and the ability to work independently.
• Proven sales capabilities and strong presentation skills.
• Ability to build and maintain productive relationships.
• Capability to manage multiple priorities while achieving specific sales and marketing goals.
