This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.
• Act as a trusted advisor, business partner, expert in commercial banking, and the primary point of contact for client-related matters.
• Foster growth and business development within the designated geographic area.
• Cultivate a comprehensive understanding of clients’ and prospects’ businesses and their respective industries.
• Manage strategic issues such as capital raising, regulatory compliance, ownership transition planning, mergers & acquisitions, and revenue cycle management.
• Inform clients about Key’s expertise and core offerings, including cash management, derivatives, and equipment financing.
• Identify opportunities for cross-selling and collaborate with bankers and product specialists to design credit and non-credit solutions.
• Prospect, qualify, and engage with potential clients while establishing a Center of Influence referral network.
• Enhance functional, technical sales, and credit knowledge, and share insights with team members.
• Collaborate with Credit Officers as the primary sponsor for credit decisions.
• Oversee credit processes and maintain asset quality through effective underwriting, structuring, and portfolio management.
• Generate Asset Quality Reports and Risk Rating models.
• Optimize the profitability of the assigned portfolio by promoting the value that Key offers.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Adhere to KeyBank policies and procedures, conducting business with integrity.
• Travel occasionally, including overnight stays.
• Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience (required).
• Over 5 years of experience in the financial services sector (required).
• At least 1 year of formal commercial credit training and experience from a bank or financial institution (preferred).
• A minimum of 1 year of high-performing experience delivering financial expertise, advice, and tailored solutions to commercial clients in the emerging to middle-market revenue segments (preferred).
• Experience in relationship management teams with an understanding of balancing business development and asset quality (preferred).
• Proven track record of meeting performance targets (preferred).
• Participation in relevant boards and/or industry organizations (preferred).
• Familiarity with commercial banking products and services and their applicability to commercial clients.
• Experience utilizing customer relationship management systems to track interactions, manage pipelines, and enhance relationship development.
• Capability to analyze complex issues and data to formulate logical solutions.
• Understanding of the financial, operational, and strategic drivers of commercial enterprises.
• Competence in evaluating risks and identifying leading indicators.
• A valid driver's license and ability to operate a motor vehicle.
• Willingness to travel occasionally, including overnight stays.
• Ability to reside in the New Jersey market.
