Reimbursement Specialist, Bilingual

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Comprehend Insulet's insurance contracts, channeling, and processing requirements for eligible products.

• Manage reimbursement processes by reaching out to payors, confirming insurance benefits, and adhering to medical reimbursement protocols.

• Submit requests for prior authorization to secure approval and payment for Insulet products.

• Calculate and record cost-share amounts for customers who speak both English and French.

• Collaborate with Case Management, OmniPod Sales, Billing, and other commercial teams to communicate order status.

• Document all interactions and calls within the customer database.

• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other relevant regulatory entities.

• Provide constructive feedback and suggestions for ongoing process enhancements.

• Undertake additional responsibilities as needed.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of an Associate's Degree.

• Proficiency in both English and French is highly preferred.

• Bachelor's Degree is preferred.

• 2–4 years of experience in the medical device, pharmaceutical, healthcare, or consumer product fields is preferred.

• Familiarity with and understanding of the managed care industry is preferred.

• Knowledge of and experience in supporting patients with diabetes is preferred.

• Experience in reimbursement processes or working with private or public payers in Canada.

• Experience with Salesforce or other CRM systems is preferred.

• Willingness to work overtime to achieve business goals is required.

• Strong oral and written communication skills in both English and French.

• Creative problem-solving abilities and a results-oriented mindset.

• Capability to effectively collaborate with team members.

• Ability to manage various challenges or tasks through effective prioritization and multitasking.

• Proficient in using MS Office applications and CRM systems.

• Ability to sit and stand in a conventional office environment.

• Manual dexterity is required for using a computer keyboard.

• Light lifting may be necessary.
