This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the collections process for payer balances, establishing targets for days sales outstanding (DSO) and aged accounts receivable (AR).
• Determine the root causes of denials and underpayments while implementing process enhancements.
• Manage comprehensive billing operations, including charge capture, claims submission, and denial management.
• Track clean claim rates, denial rates, collection rates, and AR aging, providing trend reports to leadership.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop the billing and collections team.
• Establish performance objectives for individuals and the team.
• Ensure adherence to payer contracts, coding standards, HIPAA, CMS regulations, and other applicable laws.
• Generate monthly reports and forecasts regarding revenue cycle performance.
• Conduct audits of billing practices and implement quality control measures.
• Report directly to the Director of Revenue Cycle.
• A bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• At least five (5) years of experience in collections, billing, and/or cash posting within a specialty infusion or oncology healthcare environment.
• In-depth understanding of payer requirements, claims processes, and denial management strategies.
• Familiarity with billing/EHR systems and clearinghouses.
