This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Provide regulatory expertise in healthcare directly to clients and the Yellow Brick project team.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, safety codes, and healthcare-specific standards.
• Offer guidance on healthcare regulations, standards, and best practices to enhance compliance, patient safety, quality of care, and operational efficiency.
• Lead intricate, high-profile, and high-risk regulatory projects related to healthcare facilities.
• Research regulatory obligations and offer compliance recommendations.
• Develop and execute compliance plans, licensing strategies, regulatory frameworks, and training programs.
• Coordinate and engage in mock surveys, audits of HR and medical staff files, document assessments, and design-plan evaluations.
• Oversee planning and execution of healthcare facility transitions and activation initiatives.
• Manage project budgets, hours, expenses, plans, timelines, schedules, resources, and deliverables.
• Support tabletop exercises, workflow design, dress rehearsals, and patient relocations.
• Identify licensing and regulatory requirements for healthcare facilities and services.
• Compile and review regulatory resource materials and standards.
• Act as a subject matter expert in specialty services and health industry standards.
• Recognize compliance risks and suggest mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with project teams to identify risks and propose solutions.
• Track project activities and prepare monthly summaries.
• Contribute to contract deliverables.
• Uphold confidentiality of client and company information.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams and perform other assigned tasks.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent expertise and experience in the industry is required.
• Significant industry experience is required.
• Familiarity with regulatory agencies and industry standards such as AIA, ACHE, ASHE, TJC, CDPH, HCAi, CMS, AAMI, and AAAHC is required.
• Experience with large-scale projects within the healthcare sector is preferred.
• Proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Smartsheet.
• Knowledge of Visio and Access.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Capability to work effectively as a leader, team player, and independently.
• Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and team members.
• Capacity to remain stationary for up to 80% of the workday and be mobile for up to 90% during onsite mock surveys.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time for full-time staff.
• Flexibility to work irregular hours occasionally and respond promptly to urgent regulatory inquiries/issues.
