Regional Trade & Compliance Manager – EMEA

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Oversee daily compliance activities related to import and export operations within the designated region

• Ensure correctness in trade documentation, customs declarations, export filings, product classification, origin determination, valuation, and adherence to regulatory requirements

• Administer export licensing, perform denied party screening, ensure sanctions compliance, manage embargo controls, and fulfill technology transfer obligations

• Keep abreast of evolving trade regulations and evaluate their effects on products, clients, supply chains, expenses, and operational processes

• Address customs clearance challenges, shipment delays, regulatory inquiries, and any compliance-related interruptions

• Supervise and audit customs brokers, freight forwarders, and other external trade service providers

• Collaborate with Logistics, Supply Chain, Procurement, Customer Service, Commercial, Manufacturing, Finance, Legal departments, and outside partners

• Assist with inquiries, audits, inspections, compliance reviews, and opportunities for trade optimization from government agencies

• Facilitate training, conduct risk assessments, perform audits, and lead continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring Arclin retains ownership of compliance decisions and controls

• Report directly to the Director of Global Trade Strategy & Compliance

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, International Trade, Logistics, Legal Studies, or a related discipline

• Over 7 years of experience in trade compliance, customs, import/export operations, or related fields

• In-depth knowledge of import compliance, export controls, customs valuation, classification, origin, sanctions, and licensing requirements

• Exceptional analytical, communication, problem-solving, and cross-functional leadership abilities

• Customs Broker License is advantageous but not mandatory

• Preferred experience in manufacturing, specialty chemicals, industrial products, or similar industries

• EMEA regional language skills required: English and Spanish; proficiency in French and German is a plus
