This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Execute routine and non-routine functions and activities as a pharmacy technician.
• Manage multiple software programs and applications simultaneously.
• Handle several telecommunication lines.
• Ensure accurate and professional documentation is maintained.
• Engage in communication with both internal and external parties while keeping an open line with the supervisor or manager.
• Operate under the guidance of a licensed pharmacist; patient counseling is not required.
• Enter and verify pharmacy insurance data along with insurance benefits.
• Deliver service to patients, staff, insurance representatives, pharmaceutical reps, vendors, and employees.
• Act as the primary point of contact for incoming and outgoing calls, emails, and internal pharmacy communications.
• Collaborate with pharmacy teams to enhance service efficiency.
• Document and promote therapy adherence under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
• Maintain medication information, investigate prescription barriers, report order updates, and arrange for delivery or pickup.
• Process prescriptions for eligible patients and submit billing to benefit plans.
• Address insurance billing issues and inform about potential delays.
• Assist the Revenue Manager with daily financial operations and take part in audits.
• Dispense oral oncology medications under the supervision of the Dispensing Operations Pharmacist.
• Accurately count and fill prescriptions, order and stock medications, and package and ship oral oncology medications.
• Candidates must be residents of Florida.
• An active Registered Pharmacy Technician license in the state of residence is required (FL RPT).
• A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent education is mandatory.
• A minimum of one (1) year of experience as a Registered Pharmacy Technician in specialty, retail, mail order, or hospital pharmacy is required.
• Capability to multitask across multiple software programs and applications.
• Ability to manage multiple telecommunication lines effectively.
• Proficiency in Microsoft programs is necessary.
• Competence in using, pronouncing, and spelling common medical and pharmacy terminology.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential material, including emotionally charged matters.
• Strong focus on customer service.
• Proficiency in working remotely as needed.
• Capable of thriving in a fast-paced, multi-site environment while managing competing priorities.
• Preferred proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Active National Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB) is preferred.
• Successful completion of background, drug, and nicotine screenings is necessary.
• New hires must receive required vaccinations, including the influenza vaccine, unless an approved exemption is provided.
