Clinical Review Pharmacist – Seasonal

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +46 more states.

📋 Description

• Conduct prior authorization reviews

• Work in collaboration with pharmacists as part of the Pharmacy and Therapeutics (P&T) process

• Act as a clinical subject matter expert to assist account management, sales, and implementation teams

• Maintain clear communication with various functional areas within SmithRx

• Effectively convey SmithRx’s vision, mission, values, and goals

• Engage in multi-departmental meetings and committees to achieve project objectives

• Aid in optimizing SmithRx clinical offerings and outcomes for customers, members, and clients

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy or PharmD is mandatory

• 2-5 years of pharmacy experience, including at least 1 year of experience with prior authorizations for commercial plans

• Robust clinical skills with the capability to apply sound clinical judgment in various complex situations

• Proficient in drug literature and clinical trial evaluation, including the use of electronic databases such as Micromedex, Medline, and UptoDate

• Strong problem-solving abilities, including the capacity to identify challenging situations and propose effective solutions

• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, including experience with tables, charts, and figures preferred
