Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Deliver full-time outpatient services via Brave Health’s telehealth platform.

• Provide mental health treatment utilizing telehealth technology.

• Work a Monday to Friday schedule with shifts from 10am to 7pm or 11am to 8pm Eastern.

• Complete around 30 client care hours weekly, averaging 6 clients daily.

• Collaborate with clients to reach their treatment objectives.

• Perform thorough assessments.

• Create treatment plans.

• Support patients throughout their lifespan, including those covered by Medicaid and Medicare.

• Diagnose and address mental health and/or substance abuse disorders.

• Provide care for individuals with chronic severe mental health conditions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Master's degree and relevant licensure.

• Unrestricted eligibility to work in the United States without employer sponsorship, now or in the future.

• Designated private workspace for patient safety and adherence to HIPAA regulations.

• Proficient in English.

• Spanish language skills preferred; knowledge of additional languages is advantageous.

• Understanding of mental health and/or substance abuse diagnoses.

• Skills in treatment planning.

• Proficient in using telehealth software, video communication, and internal communication tools.

• Experience collaborating with clients to achieve their goals.

• Ability to conduct comprehensive assessments.

• Comfortable maintaining 30 client care hours weekly, averaging 6 clients per day.

• Background in working with patients facing substance abuse and addiction disorders.

• Experience with patients suffering from chronic severe mental illnesses such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, or schizoaffective disorder.

• Full-time one-on-one psychotherapy experience, defined as 20 or more client-facing hours weekly.

• Current or pending intern/associate licensure status where applicable.
