Genetic Counselor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Deliver remote genetic counseling services to patients across the United States

• Perform pre-test counseling and interpret genetic testing results

• Provide counseling mainly regarding hereditary cancer risks

• Articulate complex genetic information in a clear and compassionate way

• Assist patients in understanding testing options, potential outcomes, and subsequent steps

• Collaborate with genetic counselors, medical geneticists, and other healthcare professionals

• Identify areas for workflow improvement to enhance the patient experience

• Participate in educational and research initiatives as they arise

• Ensure accurate, timely, and professional documentation of patient interactions

⛳️ Requirements

• Master's Degree in Genetics or Genetic Counseling – Essential

• Board Certification from the American Board of Genetic Counseling (ABGC) – Essential

• Excellent communication and patient counseling abilities

• Capable of delivering high-quality care effectively in a remote setting

• Background in hereditary cancer counseling is highly desirable

• Multi-state genetic counseling licensure is preferred but not mandatory

• Strong organizational abilities and capacity to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
