Registered Dietitian – Part-Time, Virtual

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Deliver virtual nutrition education and counseling to individuals participating in the Weight Loss Program.

• Facilitate virtual group education sessions for patients dealing with chronic conditions and weight management issues.

• Offer personalized one-on-one virtual nutrition counseling for eligible patients in accordance with program and billing guidelines.

• Create tailored nutrition recommendations and practical approaches for healthy and sustainable weight management.

• Instruct patients on nutrition, lifestyle modifications, behavior change, and maintaining long-term weight control.

• Work collaboratively with the Internal Medicine Specialist and healthcare team to ensure coordinated patient care.

• Assess patient information and assist patients according to their medical conditions and treatment plans.

• Keep precise and timely clinical documentation within the EMR system.

• Engage in the creation and enhancement of nutrition education materials and program resources.

• Provide evidence-based, patient-focused nutrition care.

⛳️ Requirements

• Registered Dietitian in good standing with the relevant provincial College of Dietitians.

• Preferred experience in weight management, obesity, metabolic health, chronic disease management, or lifestyle counseling.

• Experience in delivering virtual care is advantageous.

• Strong understanding of nutrition counseling, behavior modification, and sustainable weight management techniques.

• Proficient in leading virtual group education sessions and offering individual counseling.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

• Capable of working independently in a virtual setting.

• Familiarity with EMR and virtual care platforms is a plus.

• Availability for scheduled virtual group sessions and individual patient appointments based on program and patient requirements.
