Registered Dietitian, Obesity & Weight Management, PT/FT

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut.

📋 Description

• Perform thorough nutrition evaluations through virtual or telehealth consultations.

• Offer Medical Nutrition Therapy for obesity and associated chronic diseases.

• Create personalized nutrition care strategies.

• Provide nutrition education and counseling utilizing motivational interviewing and behavior-change methodologies.

• Enhance patient involvement through effective communication and address clinical issues as necessary.

• Work collaboratively with physicians, nurse practitioners, health coaches, and care coordinators.

• Engage in care planning and case review processes as required.

• Record interactions, evaluations, and care plans in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.

• Utilize telehealth and patient engagement tools proficiently.

• Play a role in the development of clinical programs, quality initiatives, and interdisciplinary care innovation as the organization expands.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possession of an active Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) credential in good standing.

• Active Licensed Dietitian (LD/LDN) or Certified Dietitian Nutritionist (CD/CDN) license in the relevant state(s).

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related discipline.

• Clinical or ambulatory experience in providing nutrition counseling or Medical Nutrition Therapy is essential.

• Background in obesity, weight management, chronic conditions, and telehealth is preferred.

• Excellent patient-centered counseling and documentation abilities.

• Comfort in working within interdisciplinary teams.

• Familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHRs) and telehealth platforms.

• Access to reliable internet and a private workspace that complies with HIPAA regulations.

• Capability to uphold licensure standards and maintain HIPAA compliance.
