Registered Dietitian, Obesity & Weight Management

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.

📋 Description

• Perform thorough nutrition evaluations through virtual or telehealth sessions.

• Provide Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) for obesity and associated chronic conditions.

• Create personalized nutrition care strategies.

• Offer nutrition education and counseling employing motivational interviewing and behavior-change techniques.

• Enhance patient involvement through effective communication.

• Address clinical issues as necessary.

• Work in collaboration with physicians, Nurse Practitioners (NPs), health coaches, and care coordinators.

• Engage in care planning and case review when required.

• Record interactions, assessments, and care plans within the Electronic Health Record (EHR).

• Utilize telehealth and patient engagement tools proficiently.

• Adhere to licensure standards, HIPAA regulations, and necessary training/professional development.

⛳️ Requirements

• Current Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential in good standing.

• Valid Licensed Dietitian (LD)/Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist (LDN) or Certified Dietitian (CD)/Certified Dietitian Nutritionist (CDN) license in the state(s) of practice.

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related discipline.

• Clinical or ambulatory experience in providing nutrition counseling or Medical Nutrition Therapy (required).

• Familiarity with obesity, weight management, chronic conditions, and telehealth (preferred).

• Excellent patient-centered counseling and documentation abilities.

• Ability to work effectively in interdisciplinary teams.

• Proficiency with EHRs and telehealth technologies.

• Access to reliable internet.

• A private, HIPAA-compliant workspace.

• Capability to uphold licensure standards and ensure HIPAA compliance.
