Registered Dietitian, Obesity & Weight Management

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut.

📋 Description

• Perform thorough nutrition evaluations through virtual or telehealth appointments

• Offer Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) for obesity and associated chronic illnesses

• Create personalized nutrition care strategies

• Provide nutrition education and counseling employing motivational interviewing and behavior-change methodologies

• Enhance patient involvement through effective communication and escalate clinical issues when necessary

• Work in collaboration with physicians, NPs, health coaches, and care coordinators

• Engage in care planning and case evaluations as required

• Record visits, assessments, and care strategies in the Electronic Health Record (EHR)

• Effectively utilize telehealth and patient engagement technologies

• Contribute to the development of clinical programs, quality improvement initiatives, and interdisciplinary care innovations as opportunities arise

⛳️ Requirements

• Active RD/RDN credential in good standing

• Active LD/LDN or CD/CDN license in the states of practice

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Nutrition/Dietetics or a related discipline

• Clinical or ambulatory experience in providing nutrition counseling or MNT (mandatory)

• Experience with obesity, weight management, chronic illnesses, and telehealth (preferred)

• Excellent patient-centered counseling and documentation capabilities

• Comfortable collaborating within interdisciplinary teams

• Proficient with EHR systems and telehealth platforms

• Reliable internet connection and a private, HIPAA-compliant workspace

• Ability to uphold licensure standards and ensure HIPAA compliance
