Regional Vice President – Land Acquisition

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama.

📋 Description

• Develop positions for lots/land and communities to meet the new home construction demands in the Region.

• Locate lot/land supply along with owners or sellers in sought-after areas.

• Assess land for feasibility and analyze market absorption in relation to resale and new home sales.

• Collaborate with MLS, private entities, investor groups, financial institutions, developers, and other sources to pinpoint locations for new residential projects.

• Draft contracts and oversee the execution of lot/land acquisitions.

• Partner with Division Managers and the Land Acquisition team to secure lots/land that align with regional objectives and needs.

• Formulate initial budgets for clearing, fill, septic/well systems, sewer/water connections, culverts, power, and driveway handling.

• Investigate land for potential adverse restrictions, including issues related to eagles, owls, tortoises, and minimum size criteria.

• Maintain schedules for lot/land purchases and pipelines in coordination with the Corporate Land Manager.

• Execute additional responsibilities as required or directed.

• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and professionally with potential sellers, external agencies, and team members.

• Strong organizational skills to manage the contract drafting and filing processes accurately and on schedule.

• Proficient computer skills to navigate various software applications and electronic communications.

• Ability to handle tight deadlines, quickly adapt to changes without affecting schedules, and manage substantial workloads with minimal supervision.

• A proactive and committed team member who embodies a strong work ethic and fosters customer trust.

• A Bachelor's degree or equivalent certification, accreditation, or relevant work experience.

• At least 10 years of experience in lot or land acquisition.
