Regional T&L Sourcing Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Develop and execute global sourcing strategies, either under the guidance of a Procurement Manager for a global division/business area or independently within specified limits.

• Ensure that purchasing operations are in compliance with corporate policies and procedures.

• Oversee the planning and monitoring of procurement activities, budget costs, spending in emerging markets, and savings projections.

• Assist in creating and executing regional/global sourcing strategies that align with the broader T&L Sourcing team and key stakeholders.

• Negotiate and uphold supplier agreements, which include price lists, terms & conditions, frame contracts, and amendments to local contracts.

• Prepare Requests for Quotations (RFQs) mainly for over-the-road and express carriers.

• Implement sourcing initiatives and conduct benchmark studies to analyze cost drivers.

• Manage the onboarding of carriers and forwarders, including evaluations, performance tracking, and reporting in collaboration with T&L teams and businesses.

• Initiate and oversee purchase orders, confirm deliveries, ensure compliance, authorize payments, and promote communication among internal and external stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree along with a minimum of 10 years of experience in business processes, supply chain management, Trade and Logistics, and sourcing.

• Proven experience in strategic and/or operational logistics, including sourcing within a regional or global SAP framework.

• Exceptional negotiation skills with a demonstrated ability to manage supplier agreements, pricing, and contract conditions.

• Experience collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders in a matrix organization.

• Proficient in conducting benchmark studies, evaluating carriers/forwarders, and performance reporting.

• Strong grasp of procurement processes, encompassing PO creation, contract management, and adherence to standard procedures.

• Capability to manage multiple sourcing initiatives concurrently, adhering to defined thresholds and timelines.

• Excellent communication skills in English.
