This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania, +1 more state.
β’ Responsible for managing the roadmap, category plans, sourcing events, supplier negotiations, supplier performance, contract compliance, and third-party risk for a designated technology category or sub-category.
β’ Serves as the sourcing business partner to assigned Technology leaders, ensuring forward visibility of demand, budgets, and renewals.
β’ Oversees technology category strategies, sourcing plans, renewal schedules, and pipeline priorities.
β’ Directs supplier evaluations, negotiations, award recommendations, and contract execution processes.
β’ Oversees supplier performance, contract compliance, issue resolution, risk assessments, and remediation efforts.
β’ Manages category budgets, tracks savings, optimizes resource utilization, and develops delivery plans.
β’ Establishes spend baselines, supplier landscapes, risk assessments, category profiles, and multi-year strategies.
β’ Consolidates and challenges requirements to minimize duplication, streamline suppliers and licenses, and optimize specifications and consumption.
β’ Cultivates vendor relationships, conducts business reviews, performance discussions, aligns roadmaps, and manages escalations.
β’ Develops cost models, bid analyses, business cases, savings pipelines, and value reporting.
β’ Collaborates with Technology, Information Security, Legal, Finance, and relevant business stakeholders.
β’ Addresses sourcing needs arising from mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and integration activities.
β’ Implements procurement governance, delegation of authority, and adherence to code of conduct requirements.
β’ Promotes process improvement, standardization, onboarding, cross-training, AI and automation adoption, supplier diversity, ESG, and responsible sourcing initiatives.
β’ Ensures accurate data management in procurement, contract lifecycle management, and spend platforms.
β’ Leads and mentors sourcing professionals, delegates tasks, coaches performance, and supports talent-related decisions.
β’ Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, computer science, information systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience is required.
β’ A minimum of 10 years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, and category management, with at least 4 years in technology or data sourcing, or a related field is required.
β’ At least 5 years of experience in a management role is required.
β’ Proven experience in negotiating and managing complex technology supplier contracts and portfolios exceeding $50M in annual spend is required.
β’ Experience in owning a defined category or sub-category within a category-based procurement or category management operating model is required.
β’ Experience serving as a procurement business partner to technology or business leaders, including managing forward demand and renewal visibility, is preferred.
β’ Experience within a large, matrixed global organization is preferred.
β’ Relevant certification in procurement, supply management, or project management (such as CPSM, CIPS, or PMP) is preferred.
β’ Hands-on experience in strategic sourcing and contract development for technology and data categories, including SaaS, cloud services, infrastructure, IT services, telecom, packaged software, cyber security, data solutions, and emerging technologies.
β’ Ability to develop and maintain a category roadmap that encompasses both immediate execution and long-term strategy.
β’ Strong negotiation skills with a solid understanding of commercial and legal terms in technology agreements.
β’ Proficient in business partnering, including managing demand and renewal cycles with stakeholders and influencing requirements at early stages.
β’ Familiarity with vendor management, compliance, governance, and risk management frameworks, including third-party and cyber risk requirements.
β’ Knowledgeable about the technology supplier landscape, licensing and consumption models, and relevant industry trends for assigned categories.
β’ Capable of translating business and technology requirements into category strategies, sourcing plans, and actionable initiatives.
β’ Strong financial and analytical abilities, including cost modeling, bid analysis, ROI evaluation, and data-driven recommendations.
β’ Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across functions without direct authority.
β’ Ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives to deadlines in a matrixed global environment, and comfort operating in an evolving operating model.
β’ Proficient in establishing spend baselines, category profiles, risk assessments, controls, performance measures, and KPI reporting.
β’ Proficiency in procurement tools (such as SAP Ariba or Coupa), contract lifecycle management systems, and data analytics platforms.
β’ Proficient in English for effective business communication with global stakeholders and suppliers.
