
Regional Specification Sales Specialist – Southeast

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Drive new specification sales throughout the Southeast by fostering connections with specifiers, engineering firms, consultants, and key decision-makers.
• Position Edwards Signaling as the foundational design choice and ensure products are included in new project specifications.
• Identify, qualify, and pursue new opportunities while developing and managing a sales pipeline.
• Become an expert on the products and applications within the Edwards Signaling portfolio.
• Provide training on products and engage with specifiers, engineers, and end users regarding suitable solutions.
• Build relationships for direct sales and OEM signaling opportunities.
• Serve as the primary Edwards Signaling resource in the Southeast for products, applications, and specifications.
• Collaborate with Regional Sales Managers, Inside Sales, and representative agency partners.
• Coordinate target projects, engineering firms, account strategies, project initiation, hand-offs, and specifications.
• Assist in order fulfillment with distribution once specifications have been secured.
• Represent Edwards Signaling as a Subject Matter Expert at trade shows, lunch & learns, and industry events.
• Provide market and competitive insights to identify gaps, inform new product development ideation, and enhance regional positioning.
• High School Diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Over 5 years of experience in specification or direct sales.
• Bachelor’s Degree in business administration, engineering, or a related field is preferred; relevant industry experience may be accepted in place of a degree.
• Strong preference for experience in specification sales.
• A background in the lighting/electrical, signaling, or industrial sectors is advantageous.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and manage an opportunity pipeline from inception.
• Experience utilizing industry data and tools such as Dodge, ConstructConnect, and permitting data.
• Strong technical and mechanical knowledge related to industrial and commercial systems.
• Willingness to undergo training and become a product expert.
• Excellent listening, communication, and relationship-building abilities.
• Strong “hunter” mentality with the capability to generate opportunities, influence specifications, and achieve results.
• Preferred experience in working with and managing representative firms.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Willingness to undertake overnight domestic travel of up to 75% may be required.
• This is a remote position based in the Southeast region, ideally located near a major US airport.
