
Regional Sales Manager – Water & Wastewater

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Drive profitable growth of Aerzen solutions within a designated wastewater territory.
• Formulate and implement regional sales strategies to meet growth, order intake, and profitability goals.
• Lead, support, and nurture independent municipal sales representatives.
• Deliver customer presentations, conduct representative training, facilitate lunch-and-learns, and engage in market-development initiatives.
• Cultivate strong relationships with municipalities, engineering firms, OEMs, contractors, and other essential stakeholders.
• Identify prospective customers, projects, applications, and market opportunities.
• Develop key-account and opportunity strategies based on decision-makers, project requirements, competition, and procurement processes.
• Engage early in project and specification discussions to effectively position Aerzen solutions.
• Offer technical and commercial assistance for equipment selection, specifications, compliance, energy efficiency, and total cost of ownership.
• Oversee quotations, bid submissions, pre-bid meetings, presentations, negotiations, and customer follow-ups.
• Collaborate with Application Engineering, Project Management, Service, Aftermarket, and Customer Support during sales and order execution.
• Maintain the opportunity pipeline and generate sales forecasts, account strategies, and activity reports in the CRM system.
• Represent Aerzen at regional and national trade shows, conferences, and industry events.
• Monitor customer needs, competitive landscape, and market trends to provide valuable feedback to the organization.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related field preferred, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Proven experience in technical equipment sales.
• Strongly preferred experience in the municipal water and wastewater market.
• Experience collaborating with independent sales representatives or channel partners.
• Ability to comprehend technical applications and effectively communicate customer and business value.
• Exceptional skills in relationship-building, presentation, negotiation, organization, and opportunity management.
• Willingness to travel regularly within the assigned region.
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Experience with CRM systems for managing customer information, sales activities, opportunities, and forecasts.
• Capable of using ERP systems, product configuration tools, and other business applications.
• Strong commercial and analytical abilities, including proficiency in calculating discounts, margins, commissions, percentages, and other sales-related metrics.
• Self-motivated, action-oriented, and responsive, demonstrating a strong sense of urgency.
• Ability to lead and influence independent sales representatives and cross-functional teams.
• Strong organizational capabilities for managing multiple accounts, opportunities, and priorities across a regional territory.
• Willingness to travel more than 50% of the time for business as necessary.
• Successful completion of a background check.
• Must pass a drug test prior to commencing work.
