
Regional Sales Manager, Plant Sales - West Region

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Formulate and implement growth strategies for territories throughout California, Hawaii, Nevada, Arizona, and New Mexico
• Establish and sustain strategic partnerships with distributors, manufacturers' representatives, contractors, engineers, municipalities, utilities, and end users
• Lead, mentor, and hold accountable both manufacturer representatives and distribution partners
• Oversee project and distributor conversion pipelines utilizing CRM, forecasting, and opportunity management methodologies
• Discover new market opportunities, underserved regions, target accounts, and industry trends
• Offer customer and market insights regarding competitive activities, customer requirements, and industry developments
• Collaborate with operations, engineering, estimating, marketing, finance, customer service, and supply chain teams
• Create and deliver training programs on products, applications, and sales techniques
• Tackle customer challenges and coordinate the resolution of quality, production, scheduling, delivery, billing, and service concerns
• Represent McWane Plant & Industrial at customer meetings, project locations, industry events, trade associations, and engagements with channel partners
• A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or equivalent professional experience
• At least 3 years of proven sales success in industrial, mechanical, waterworks, or related infrastructure sectors
• Demonstrated ability to expand a territory through new customer acquisition, channel development, project influence, and increasing market share
• Proven track record in developing and executing strategic territory plans and managing complex sales opportunities
• Strong business acumen accompanied by excellent problem-solving abilities
• Capacity to influence customers, channel partners, and cross-functional teams effectively
• An entrepreneurial mindset characterized by accountability, initiative, and adaptability
• Experience with CRM systems, opportunity management, forecasting, and pipeline development tools
• Willingness to travel up to 60%
• Preferred: Over 5 years of sales experience in relevant markets
• Preferred: Familiarity with manufacturer representatives, distributors, contractors, engineers, municipalities, utilities, and industrial facilities in the Western U.S.
• Preferred: A bachelor's degree in a technical or construction-related field
• Preferred: Experience in building territories, launching products, entering markets, or expanding a new business, division, or product line
• Preferred: Expertise in CRM management, forecasting, pipeline development, annual sales planning, channel partner management, and project-based selling
