
Regional Sales Manager – Lower North Island, Dairy

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Zealand.
• Establish and oversee quotas, commissions, and various sales management responsibilities for the sales team.
• Guide, mentor, and nurture junior sales personnel to assist them in achieving their targets.
• Generate new leads and prospects through proactive outreach, referrals, introductions, industry events, and other avenues.
• Handle and respond to incoming inquiries.
• Manage the sales pipeline by screening, qualifying, conducting on-farm demonstrations, negotiating contracts, and closing sales.
• Comprehend customers' farm systems and effectively communicate Halter’s value proposition.
• Collaborate with the Customer Success team on post-sales transition, implementation, customer satisfaction, and account renewals.
• Maintain customer relationships during the waiting period for deployment.
• Engage in relevant industry and Halter events and demonstrations.
• Develop and utilize industry connections to establish and uphold Halter’s brand.
• Gather customer insights to influence the product roadmap.
• Collaborate with the team to enhance and refine the sales process.
• Minimum of five years of comprehensive sales experience.
• Proven ability to identify new prospects, secure meetings with potential leads, and create new sales opportunities.
• Extensive experience in value-based selling with a successful track record of closing deals and achieving high-volume sales results.
• Strong communication skills to effectively present Halter's value proposition.
• Experience in dairy farming or the agricultural sector is highly desirable.
• Results-oriented and highly driven, with exceptional time management abilities.
• Adaptable in a high-pressure sales environment and capable of thinking quickly on your feet.
• Sales experience in the technology sector is preferred.
• A university degree or equivalent is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Willingness to travel frequently.
• Must reside in the Lower North Island region, preferably in Manawatu, Hawkes Bay, or Taranaki.
