This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +2 more states.
• Lead the Key Account Management team in the Eastern US to achieve targets and enhance professional development.
• Establish and sustain a high-performing technical sales team.
• Increase Molecular Devices’ market presence, revenue, and profitability in targeted market segments.
• Strategically plan and oversee the performance of account management teams in Eastern North America.
• Attain regional sales targets and corporate objectives by cultivating and maintaining the Key Account Management team.
• Represent Molecular Devices and Danaher at industry conferences and events.
• Facilitate customer engagements and foster commercial partnerships.
• Mentor key account managers to strengthen focus-account relationships and promote the complete Molecular Devices portfolio.
• Collaborate with internal teams and Cross-OPCO Danaher groups.
• Develop and support Danaher solutions utilizing the Molecular Devices portfolio.
• Advocate for standardized sales processes, Danaher Business Systems, and digital tools.
• Deliver precise weekly forecasts and approve daily quotes.
• Engage in product development initiatives and kaizen events.
• Guide new sales leaders in problem-solving, performance management, career discussions, and trust-building.
• Assist in onboarding and upskilling programs for the sales organization alongside the Commercial Education Manager.
• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in a relevant Life Sciences field.
• At least 7 years of successful sales experience in life sciences, drug discovery, biotech, or related industries.
• Minimum of 3 years in managing or mentoring sales team members.
• Proven track record in building and leading high-performing, field-based sales teams.
• Extensive understanding of adult learning principles, leadership development initiatives, and prevalent selling systems.
• Ability to leverage metrics and key performance indicators to identify challenges and devise effective solutions.
• Must reside within the specified territory, ideally in Boston.
• Willingness to dedicate over 50% of work time in the field, engaging with sales representatives, leadership, and customers within the territory or locations.
• A valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record is required.
• Familiarity with Funnel Management, Plate Readers, High Content Imaging, Cellular Automation Workflows, and 3D Biology is preferred.
