This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Drive new business sales and profits (P&L) within a designated territory.
• Commit to an annual sales strategy, establish objectives, and forecast monthly orders and revenue.
• Enhance product knowledge and stay informed about market dynamics.
• Provide weekly activity reports and represent the company with high standards of business ethics and professionalism.
• Share insights about ideas, market trends, and competitive activities with management.
• Stay updated and comply with relevant GMP and ISO 9001 processes and procedures.
• Achieve or surpass yearly revenue and profit targets.
• Conduct scheduled personalized sales presentations for the MD and OD markets.
• Maintain, analyze, and utilize territory records and information to effectively organize, plan, execute, and measure results.
• Educate and follow up with ophthalmologists, optometrists, and their staff regarding product operation, utilization, and application.
• Deliver accurate written and verbal communications to management concerning sales and monthly activities.
• Manage a cost center to oversee sales, expenses, inventory, and accounts receivable.
• Foster synergy opportunities among ZEISS companies, Carl Zeiss Meditec field service, and corporate partners.
• Create innovative and profitable marketing strategies to address regional demands.
• At least three (3) years of proven quota-carrying sales success, including a consistent history of achieving or exceeding annual sales goals.
• Bachelor's degree or a comparable combination of education and experience.
• Professional sales experience, ideally in capital equipment, medical devices, healthcare, or technology sales.
• Demonstrated ability to identify new business opportunities and manage a complex sales territory.
• High level of technical and clinical product knowledge, or the capacity to quickly gain product expertise.
• Strong organizational, planning, and communication abilities.
• Capability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
• Outstanding negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
• Proficiency in CRM, word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
• Ability to develop knowledge in product applications and practice management implications.
• Willingness and ability to travel extensively throughout the Mountain Region; over 50% travel is required.
• Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle and hold a valid driver's license.
