This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Secure contracts within a specified geographic area in the Southeast USA
• Act as a trusted consultant to customers in the power generation sector
• Oversee a network of third-party sales representatives in the designated territory
• Provide monthly territory reports detailing sales activities, market trends, competitive insights, and potential opportunities
• Engage in monthly sales meetings and teleconferences
• Attend trade shows, customer gatherings, and industry events
• Conduct on-site visits for project assessments and equipment evaluations
• Maintain regular communication with the Marketing and Sales Director
• Collaborate with Application Engineering and manufacturing teams to create customer solutions and address issues
• Offer customer support throughout the sales process, before, during, and after
• Demonstrate technical solutions and product benefits to customer management and field operations
• Recognize customer challenges through consultative sales techniques
• Craft and present solutions that enhance customer performance, reliability, productivity, and cost efficiency
• Follow up on quotes and provide updates on opportunity statuses
• Adhere to safety, travel, reporting, and business conduct protocols
• Execute additional responsibilities as assigned by management
• Bachelor’s Degree, ideally in Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering
• Candidates with significant mechanical aptitude, relevant experience, and formal postgraduate training in the technology and power generation sector may be considered as an alternative
• 6 to 9 years of experience in technical sales, application support, or engineering within the power generation field
• Valid driver’s license
• Willingness to travel approximately 50% within a designated geographic territory in the United States
• Strong customer orientation and effective relationship management skills
• Excellent interpersonal and leadership abilities
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated capability in leading programs and projects
• Familiarity with product selection, cost estimation, proposal creation, and technical quotations
• Experience collaborating with or working for electric utilities in the Southern U.S.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Capacity to work both independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams
• Knowledge of generator and transformer cooling applications
• Understanding of customer operations and challenges within the power generation industry
