This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mississippi.
• Secure contracts within a specific geographic area in the Southeast United States
• Act as a reliable advisor to customers in the power generation sector
• Oversee third-party sales agents representing Unifin products
• Provide monthly territory reports detailing sales activities, market trends, competitive insights, and opportunities
• Engage in monthly sales meetings and teleconferences
• Participate in trade shows, customer engagements, and industry events
• Conduct site visits for project scoping and equipment assessments
• Maintain regular communication with the Marketing and Sales Director
• Work collaboratively with Application Engineering and manufacturing to create customer solutions and address concerns
• Offer customer support throughout the sales process, including pre-sale, during sale, and post-sale
• Present technical solutions and articulate product value to customer management and field operations
• Identify customer challenges through a consultative sales approach
• Create and showcase solutions that enhance customer performance, reliability, productivity, and reduce operating costs
• Follow up on quotations and update on opportunity status
• Adhere to company safety, travel, reporting, and business conduct guidelines
• Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned by management
• Bachelor’s Degree, ideally in Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering
• Candidates with significant mechanical aptitude, extensive experience, and formal postgraduate training relevant to the technology and power generation customer base may be considered
• 6 to 9 years of experience in technical sales, application support, or engineering within the power generation industry
• Valid driver’s license
• Willingness and capacity to travel approximately 50% within a defined geographic area in the United States
• Excellent customer relationship management abilities
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
• Exceptional verbal and written communication capabilities
• Competence in leading programs and projects
• Experience in product selection, costing, proposal development, and technical quotations
• Background in working for or with electric utilities in the Southern U.S.
• Strong organizational skills with the capability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams
• Familiarity with generator and transformer cooling applications
• Understanding of processes and operational challenges in the power generation industry
• Ability to adhere to company safety, travel, reporting, and business conduct standards
