This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama.
• Secure contracts within a specified geographic area in the Southeast USA.
• Act as a reliable advisor to power generation clients by leveraging technical knowledge, managing accounts, nurturing customer relationships, and executing sales strategies.
• Oversee third-party sales representatives promoting Unifin products in the designated territory.
• Provide weekly forecasts of sales and detailed travel plans.
• Submit weekly reports on expenses and client interactions.
• Deliver monthly reports on territory performance, including sales activities, market trends, competitive insights, and potential opportunities.
• Engage in monthly sales meetings and conference calls.
• Participate in trade shows, customer gatherings, and industry events.
• Maintain regular communication with the Marketing and Sales Director.
• Work in conjunction with Application Engineering and manufacturing teams to create customer solutions and address any issues.
• Offer customer support throughout the entire sales process, including pre-sale, during-sale, and post-sale phases.
• Present technical solutions and the value of products to customer management and field operations teams.
• Identify customer challenges using consultative sales techniques.
• Develop and propose solutions that enhance performance, reliability, productivity, and reduce operating costs.
• Follow up on quotes and provide updates on opportunity status.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and comply with company travel, reporting, and conduct policies.
• Bachelor’s Degree is required; ideally in Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering.
• Consideration will be given to candidates with significant mechanical aptitude, extensive experience, and formal postgraduate education relevant to technology and the power generation sector.
• A minimum of 6 to 9 years of experience in technical sales, application support, or engineering within the power generation field.
• Possession of a valid driver's license.
• Willingness and capability to travel around 50% within a designated geographic region in the United States.
• Strong customer orientation and exceptional relationship management skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and leadership qualities.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities.
• Demonstrated capacity to lead projects and programs effectively.
• Familiarity with product selection, cost estimation, proposal creation, and technical quotations.
• Strong organizational capabilities and the ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Capacity to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
• Knowledge of generator and transformer cooling systems.
• Understanding of customer workflows and operational challenges in the power generation sector.
• Ability to professionally articulate technical solutions and product benefits.
