Regional Sales Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Drive sales growth and market share for Refuse Collection Vehicle units, OEM, and aftermarket components within the designated area of responsibility.

• Oversee distributors and direct sales teams, making necessary adjustments to ensure profitable expansion.

• Identify opportunities for back-office software and the 3rd Eye Digital Gateway unit.

• Enhance the penetration of Ready Truck sales.

• Manage demonstration programs for both Heil-owned and distributor-owned units.

• Engage in product development, customer feedback initiatives, and monitor prototype and production trials.

• Keep accurate CRM records for RCV and Gateway units within the assigned region.

• Control margins through the discount management system.

• Oversee bid submissions from distributors and direct sales.

• Participate in credit and collections processes as needed.

• Conduct annual performance evaluations for direct reports.

• Carry out semi-annual performance reviews for distributors and parts and service centers.

• Implement annual distributor agreements.

• Advocate for and support policies regarding warranty, discounting, parts procurement, returns, SOARs, and order processing.

• Ensure sales personnel draft bid specifications for municipalities.

• Promote the use of marketing materials, campaigns, and training resources.

• Manage the annual expense budget effectively.

• Execute the Dealer Excellence Program.

• Ensure timely and accurate dealer sales-funnel activities.

• Coordinate dealer sales training sessions.

• Lead annual business planning with dealership leadership teams.

• Inform the supervisor of any concerns, issues, and progress of work.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management or Marketing is required, or equivalent experience.

• An engineering degree (ME, IE, EE) and MBA are preferred.

• Over 5 years of sales management experience (regional manager or higher) in the heavy equipment sector (including equipment and/or parts sales management).

• Experience in the Heavy Truck and Refuse industry is advantageous.

• Willingness to travel up to 50% is necessary.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel is essential.

• Familiarity with CRM software is required.

• Capability to manage distributors and direct sales staff effectively.

• Skills in managing margins, bids, budgets, credit and collections, and distributor agreements are necessary.

• Ability to conduct root-cause analysis and apply solutions.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.

• Ability to collaborate effectively while upholding professional and ethical work standards.
