This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.
• Achieve regional sales objectives and foster growth through strategic sales planning and execution.
• Collaborate with team members to meet sales targets.
• Cultivate new customer relationships while enhancing and expanding existing ones.
• Introduce and promote new products to customers.
• Implement business initiatives and boost sales of key items with strategic partners.
• Work alongside broker partners to enhance the execution of consumer packaged goods, distribution, and new product placements.
• Manage relationships with Smithfield’s brokers to improve product line distribution.
• Train and oversee the sales activities of broker representatives.
• Coordinate regional sales planning and support with sales proposals, presentations, and calls.
• Provide sales training for brokers on both new and existing products.
• Guide broker teams through attendance at meetings and in-market initiatives.
• Engage with customers and key decision-makers to sustain and grow sales.
• Develop and present formal proposals and presentations; offer product samples and demonstrations.
• Execute regional sales programs, incentives, and account-specific marketing initiatives.
• Customize and implement Smithfield sales strategies and assist with promotional activities.
• Leverage syndicated data and other resources to enhance sales plans.
• Collaborate with various company functions to ensure sales goals are achieved.
• Foster a positive employee experience through effective leadership, development, and coaching.
• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year institution and at least 5 years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
• A minimum of 2 years’ proven experience in team management or project leadership is required.
• Strong understanding of the dynamics within the Consumer Packaged Goods industry.
• Comprehensive knowledge of customer-focused and data-driven selling, including familiarity with IRI, Nielsen, and Perishable Group data.
• Understanding of product cuttings and familiarity with product attributes.
• Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• High proficiency in written and verbal communication, organizational planning, teamwork, analytical reasoning, and adaptability.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Respectful, approachable, and team-oriented, while fostering strong working relationships and a positive workplace culture.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Willingness and ability to travel at least 50% of the time.
• Relocation package is not available.
