This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.
• Propel revenue growth throughout a multichannel territory that includes machine builders/dealers, OEMs, system integrators, distributors, and end-users.
• Acquire new business and enhance SCHUNK’s footprint within the designated territory.
• Balance application selling at the plant level with channel development efforts.
• Identify, qualify, and secure opportunities across OEMs, integrators, dealers, distributors, and end-users.
• Create a pipeline that aligns with territory objectives.
• Showcase SCHUNK’s value proposition through product demonstrations and technical presentations.
• Reframe pricing based on ROI and quantifiable outcomes.
• Ensure SCHUNK specifications are included in new builds by collaborating with machine builders/dealers and system integrators.
• Inspire and empower distribution partners.
• Keep detailed records of opportunities, visit reports, quotes, and follow-ups in SAP C4C.
• Utilize sales reports to track progress and inform annual and strategic planning.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Inside Sales, and Marketing teams.
• Develop polished proposals and sales materials.
• Conduct plant visits, product demonstrations, and participate in trade shows.
• Cultivate relationships with decision-makers through face-to-face visits and technical demonstrations.
• Recruit, onboard, train, and oversee distributors and integrators.
• Conduct joint sales calls and partner training sessions.
• Manage partner performance and address channel conflicts.
• Assist with quoting and marketing initiatives.
• Work alongside product managers and leadership on value-based proposals.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent technical sales experience.
• Over 5 years of experience in manufacturing, machining, or industrial automation sales.
• Demonstrated success in new business development.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities.
• Proficient in CRM systems, particularly SAP C4C, as well as virtual tools.
• Capability to juggle multiple priorities while maintaining disciplined territory management.
• Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory, up to 50% of the time.
• Ability to conduct local travel to clients throughout Eastern Michigan.
