This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Identify, qualify, and finalize opportunities across OEMs, machine manufacturers, distributors, system integrators, and end users.
• Develop and sustain a strong pipeline that aligns with territory expansion goals.
• Discover and target strategic growth opportunities within crucial manufacturing sectors.
• Showcase SCHUNK solutions through technical demonstrations, site visits, and customer engagements.
• Highlight quality, reliability, productivity enhancements, and ROI as essential differentiators.
• Collaborate with customers to address application challenges and enhance manufacturing efficiency.
• Obtain SCHUNK specifications for new machinery and automation initiatives.
• Work alongside machine manufacturers, dealers, distributors, and integrators to promote market adoption.
• Assist channel partners through training sessions, joint sales efforts, and account planning.
• Keep accurate records of opportunities, forecasts, visit reports, and follow-up actions in SAP C4C.
• Utilize CRM data and reporting to monitor performance and aid in strategic planning.
• Ensure disciplined management of the pipeline and accurate forecasting.
• Collaborate closely with Product Management, Inside Sales, Marketing, and Leadership teams.
• Prepare professional proposals and customer presentations.
• Provide market insights and customer feedback to facilitate business growth.
• Conduct regular customer visits, product demonstrations, and participate in trade shows throughout the territory.
• Create clear action plans and follow-up commitments after each customer interaction.
• Travel as necessary to support customer, channel, and business development efforts.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, a technical field, or equivalent sales experience.
• Over 5 years of successful sales experience in industrial sectors such as manufacturing, machining, metalworking, automation, robotics, tooling, or related fields.
• Demonstrated success in new business development and territory expansion.
• Excellent presentation, communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
• Experience with CRM systems and sales reporting tools.
• Capability to independently manage a territory, prioritize opportunities, and uphold a disciplined sales process.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% within Southern California.
• Preferred: Experience with toolholding, workholding, gripping technologies, automation, robotics, or CNC machining.
• Preferred: Experience selling through distributors, machine builders, OEMs, or system integrators.
• Preferred: Technical aptitude with the capacity to identify and resolve customer application challenges.
