This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +2 more states.
• Drive customer acquisition within a designated West Coast territory.
• Create and implement a strategic territory plan aimed at surpassing annual sales targets.
• Identify, qualify, and cultivate new opportunities across the assigned school districts.
• Generate a sales pipeline through prospecting, networking, referrals, conferences, and outbound outreach.
• Foster long-term relationships with key decision-makers and influencers in the district.
• Conduct discovery conversations to gain insights into district priorities, initiatives, and challenges.
• Navigate intricate purchasing processes that involve multiple stakeholders.
• Deliver tailored virtual and onsite presentations aligned with district strategic objectives.
• Establish Otus as a trusted long-term partner.
• Guide opportunities through the full enterprise sales cycle, from initial engagement to contract execution.
• Build relationships with superintendents, assistant superintendents, curriculum and instruction leaders, assessment directors, technology leaders, principals, instructional coaches, and classroom educators.
• Maintain precise sales forecasts and a robust opportunity pipeline within Salesforce.
• Assess competitive solutions and market trends.
• Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Customer Success, Product, Implementation, and Executive Leadership teams.
• Represent Otus at both regional and national conferences.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
• A minimum of two years of successful enterprise sales experience in K-12 Education Technology.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas.
• Experience managing complex sales opportunities involving multiple stakeholders.
• Exceptional presentation, communication, and relationship-building skills with executives.
• Strong organizational and time management capabilities.
• Self-motivated with the capacity to work independently in a remote setting.
• Highly coachable with a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
• Willingness to travel approximately 25–50% within the assigned territory.
• Previous experience as a K-12 teacher or school administrator.
• Must reside in California, Oregon, or Washington.
• Strong understanding of student assessment, Standards-Based Grading, MTSS, PLCs, progress monitoring, and student data systems.
• Experience selling enterprise SaaS solutions.
• Existing relationships with educational leaders in the territory.
• Familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM platforms.
