Regional Sales Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kansas.

📋 Description

• Direct a sales team in establishing and nurturing client relationships founded on trust and accountability.

• Deliver solutions, sales, and services aimed at meeting or surpassing overall company sales objectives.

• Assess accounts and prioritize sales initiatives.

• Conduct prospecting, schedule appointments, deliver presentations, and comprehend account needs.

• Utilize CRM tools for entering customer-contact data, preparing quotes, maintaining records, and generating reports.

• Finalize sales by fostering relationships with decision-makers, showcasing products and services, addressing objections, and drafting contracts.

• Broaden existing accounts by introducing new products and services while developing new applications.

• Keep track of competitive products and customer feedback to assist in shaping market strategy.

• Recognize customer challenges and suggest optimal product solutions.

• Oversee territory demonstration equipment and manage customer evaluations.

• Achieve proficiency in all product offerings, database operations, and workstation setups to effectively demonstrate products, train customers, and certify officers and instructors.

• Acquire knowledge of competitive products and how they compare to company offerings.

• Support management with sales initiatives in the territory.

• Travel to customer locations and company-sponsored events, typically around 75% or more of the time.

• Be available for some evenings and weekends for demonstrations, bid openings, trade shows, training sessions, seminars, and sales meetings.

• Work remotely, from a business office, or at customer and other sites.

• Uphold professional attire and conduct business in accordance with company standards.

• Execute other assigned responsibilities.


⛳️ Requirements

• A four (4) year post-secondary degree or equivalent experience is required.

• At least five (5) years of technical business-to-business (B2B) sales and/or account management experience in a role that required significant travel while overseeing multiple projects.

• Experience in selling traffic safety equipment, video solutions, or prior law enforcement experience is preferred.

• Background in selling technical solutions to government agencies is advantageous.

• Willingness to travel approximately seventy-five (75) percent of the time or more, including overnight trips.

• Availability to work some evenings and weekends.

• Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite.

• Previous experience with sales automation and/or Salesforce CRM software is beneficial.

• Capable of effectively troubleshooting and diagnosing issues.

• Strong presentation skills, both in-person and during virtual meetings.

• Familiarity with local, regional, and state purchasing processes.

• Ability to operate in a high-pressure environment.

• Excellent oral and written communication abilities.

• Strong teamwork capabilities.

• Exceptional phone voice, etiquette, and customer service skills.

• Must be self-motivated, detail-oriented, organized, and able to work with minimal supervision.

• Ability to frequently lift ten (10) pounds and occasionally lift up to sixty (60) pounds, with the possibility of occasional lifting beyond sixty (60) pounds using appropriate assistance.

• Capability to drive a car/SUV day or night and travel by car or airplane.
