This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +2 more states.
• Drive revenue enhancement, broaden market presence, and oversee key customer relationships within a designated geographic area.
• Formulate and implement a regional sales strategy aimed at achieving or surpassing revenue objectives.
• Identify and chase new business prospects in the industrial, automotive, telecommunications, and consumer electronics industries.
• Establish and nurture relationships with key accounts, distributors, and channel partners.
• Manage the complete sales cycle, including prospecting, quoting, closing, and post-sale support.
• Offer technical consultation to clients in partnership with engineering teams.
• Evaluate market trends, competitor actions, and customer feedback.
• Prepare sales forecasts, reports, and pipeline updates for senior management.
• Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms in accordance with company policies.
• Represent the organization at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings.
• Collaborate with engineering, marketing, and operations teams to develop technically sound and commercially viable solutions.
• Oversee quotes, product specifications, order status, timely delivery, product quality, and customer satisfaction.
• Review sales performance metrics and pipeline activities.
• Communicate with customers and prospects through calls or meetings.
• Develop new business opportunities, create proposals, update CRM systems, and travel to customer locations or industry events as required.
• Report directly to the Director of Sales.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
• MBA is preferred.
• Over 5 years of sales experience in the electronic components or manufacturing sector.
• Strong technical knowledge of electronic components, including semiconductors, connectors, and passive components.
• A proven history of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
• Capacity to build and maintain long-term customer relationships.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage a regional territory effectively.
• Proficient in CRM systems and sales analytics tools.
• Willingness to travel frequently within the assigned region.
• Capability to travel extensively, up to 50–70%, by car or air.
• Ability to attend trade shows and customer site visits, which may involve standing for prolonged periods.
• Capability to carry marketing materials, product samples, or presentation equipment, generally up to 25 lbs.
• Ability to work for extended periods sitting, using a computer, and participating in virtual or in-person meetings.
