This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +1 more state.
• Take charge and provide strategic guidance for Commercial Sales, encompassing sales strategies, productivity, training, effectiveness, and the achievement of performance targets and budgeted sales objectives.
• Directly oversee, develop, and manage assigned Territory Managers.
• Ensure Territory Managers apply processes within the local geography utilizing approved sales and marketing resources.
• Formulate and execute Regional business plans and budgets.
• Maintain accountability for regional action plans.
• Assess performance metrics alongside the National Sales Director.
• Organize and facilitate Sales Team meetings.
• Offer leadership by nurturing and motivating the Sales Team.
• Collaborate with leadership and Market Access to optimize reimbursement from both commercial and government payers.
• Develop and oversee Regional plans that address messaging, reach and frequency, as well as budgetary goals.
• Establish goals and targets.
• Review account management performance against budget expectations.
• Allocate resources effectively and provide suitable management reporting.
• Spend three to four days per week in the field with assigned Territory Managers.
• Complete Field Coaching Reports within 48-72 hours.
• Maintain office hours on days not spent in the field.
• Fulfill training and policy requirements in a timely manner.
• Ensure adherence to laws, regulations, and policies relevant to the role, the team, and vendors.
• Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
• Report directly to the National Sales Director.
• Bachelor's degree is preferred; experience in pharmaceutical sales management may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• A minimum of 8 years of pharmaceutical sales experience is preferred, or equivalent medical sales experience may be accepted.
• At least 3 years of sales management experience in a U.S. pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical organization is preferred.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in Cardiology, including involvement in Statin, PCSK9, and NOAC launches, is preferred.
• A proven history of successfully launching new products and/or indications along with building effective sales teams.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence individuals at all levels within and outside the organization.
• Demonstrated success in commercializing new products and/or expanding commercial opportunities for existing offerings.
• Capability to prioritize, allocate resources, take responsibility, and deliver results.
• Proven ability to cultivate strong, diverse teams that encompass a variety of perspectives and talents.
• Experience in forming highly motivated cross-functional teams.
• Exceptional presentation and communication skills.
• Proficiency in influencing and collaborating successfully with customers, colleagues, scientific and technical leaders, pharmaceutical and business partners, and senior executives.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Must reside within the designated Southwest region: California or Arizona.
• Willingness to travel up to 50%-60%, including overnight stays.
