Regional Sales Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Take ownership and expand selected customer accounts in the Eastern U.S. and Canada.

• Act as the main commercial liaison and create account strategies that align with revenue and profitability goals.

• Cultivate relationships with customer teams across engineering, purchasing, operations, sales, product management, quality, finance, and leadership.

• Perform regular customer visits to document opportunities, concerns, commitments, and necessary follow-up actions.

• Identify new business opportunities by recognizing applications, projects, competitive conversions, and cross-selling prospects.

• Prepare quotes and tailored pricing suggestions for customers.

• Assess costs, margins, multipliers, freight, and market conditions.

• Negotiate commercial terms and relay approved pricing decisions to clients.

• Collaborate with Application Engineering and Product Management to provide technical sales support.

• Assist in compressor and accessory selection, performance data, application guidelines, simulation tools, refrigerant transitions, and technical presentations.

• Work alongside Customer Service, planning, logistics, manufacturing, finance, quality, and engineering to address customer concerns.

• Oversee open orders, backlogs, lead times, delivery performance, overdue balances, and customer commitments.

• Identify business risks and strategize recovery plans.

• Contribute to Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) activities by delivering accurate monthly and annual forecasts.

• Maintain records of accounts, customers, markets, pricing, opportunities, calls, and visits in designated systems.

• Collect and share market intelligence, customer insights, competitive activities, regulatory changes, and application needs.

• Represent Carlyle at customer meetings, technical training sessions, industry events, and regional or international trade shows.

• Organize customer meetings and provide commercial and technical presentations.

• Inform assigned customers about product updates, quality, safety, supply, and pricing notifications.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 3 years of experience in HVAC, refrigeration, technical sales, application engineering, or account management; or a High School Diploma with at least 5 years of relevant experience.

• Familiarity with commercial and residential refrigeration compression technologies and applications, such as reciprocating, screw, scroll, rotary, and variable-speed products.

• Knowledge of Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) products and their applications.

• Awareness of current and future refrigerants, including low-GWP and natural refrigerants like CO2, ammonia, and propane.

• Experience in sales forecasting, margin analysis, pricing strategy, customer account planning, and technical or consultative selling.

• Proficiency in SAP and Salesforce.

• Ability to foster customer relationships, create quotes, convey technical information, negotiate commercial terms, and facilitate cross-functional issue resolution.

• Excellent written, verbal, presentation, organizational, and follow-through abilities.

• Capability to work autonomously in a customer-facing role.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

• Remote position preferred in the Eastern/Central Time Zone USA, close to a major airport.

• Expected travel is approximately 35% within the United States, with some international travel as needed.
