This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina, +4 more states.
β’ Lead the territory sales representatives in the assigned region to achieve company sales and profit goals within the designated channel.
β’ Build and sustain relationships with key customers across all levels of the aligned channel.
β’ Participate in activities aimed at developing new business opportunities.
β’ Report directly to the National Sales Channel Manager.
β’ Collaborate with various departments to implement programs and initiatives that foster loyalty and enhance customer experience.
β’ Oversee sales and business development efforts for A. O. Smith Water Treatment brands in the assigned region and channel.
β’ Drive tactical initiatives to meet the strategic objectives of the channel.
β’ Partner with the National Sales Channel Manager to allocate resources effectively and achieve growth targets.
β’ Anticipate challenges, identify opportunities, and make decisions that benefit both the channel and the region.
β’ Design and execute a regional training plan for team members and customers.
β’ Ensure representation at pertinent industry events and associations, including WQA, NGWA, and PHCC.
β’ Keep track of industry trends, changes, and innovations.
β’ Meet the regional sales and expense targets established in the annual budget.
β’ Assist with opportunities and provide leadership support in the field.
β’ Cover open territories as needed.
β’ Conduct quarterly reviews and planning sessions with the team and customers.
β’ Carry out other assigned responsibilities as required.
β’ Bachelor's Degree in Business Management or Marketing.
β’ MBA is a plus.
β’ At least 5 years of relevant experience.
β’ Strong understanding of the residential and commercial water treatment industry, including applications and distribution models.
β’ Flexibility to adapt in a fast-paced and ever-changing work environment.
β’ Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, including the ability to create and deliver executive-level presentations.
β’ Capability to lead and motivate a team of territory sales representatives.
β’ Strategic planning abilities along with skills to create and manage budgets and forecast sales volumes.
β’ Proficient in engaging with a diverse range of customer organizations.
β’ Strong expertise in business development, account management, and the sales process.
β’ Required proficiency in MS Office Products.
β’ Willingness to travel as necessary, approximately 60β75% of the time.
