This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.
• Promote and sell company products and services to targeted customers within the designated territory.
• Generate sales opportunities, maintain current sales, and expand market reach with both existing and prospective clients.
• Collaborate with TBU leadership and Regional Sales teams to devise technical product, application, and supplier strategies.
• Identify target customers and formulate both regional and local customer engagement plans.
• Conduct joint visits to customers alongside Outside Sales teams and strategic suppliers to facilitate product design-ins.
• Create sales plans, generate leads, and engage segment customers to secure product orders.
• Track progress using reports from the Customer Account Manager and Opportunity Management System.
• Review branch performance against OMS objectives with branch managers and report activities to TBU leadership.
• Serve as the primary account manager for important OEM locations within the assigned area.
• Identify and develop new opportunities for key segment product lines.
• Act as the subject matter expert for the transportation business segment within the TTI sales organization.
• Organize training programs for branch sales staff.
• Understand supplier design registration programs, design protection discounts, competitive landscape, pricing, and market conditions.
• Maintain relationships with branch sales managers, suppliers, and key customers.
• Seek new business leads through representatives, trade shows, networking, manufacturers, online platforms, and internal resources.
• Facilitate quarterly business reviews with suppliers and conduct regular internal management meetings.
• Communicate significant OEM design achievements to branch locations.
• Address technical inquiries, issues, and complaints from key segment customers.
• Stay informed about market trends through industry publications, networking, training events, and trade shows.
• Support TTI's Total Quality Program and identify areas for process enhancement.
• Bachelor of Science Degree in a related field (e.g., business, engineering, etc.) is preferred.
• At least five years of experience in the electronics field.
• Previous experience or knowledge in the Automotive & Transportation sector is preferred.
• Prior experience with sensors is a plus.
• Comprehensive product and technical expertise within the distribution industry.
• Familiarity with customer and application knowledge relevant to the assigned region or country.
• Experience in the NBO Identification and Development process at the customer level.
• Strong organizational, project management, and prioritization abilities.
• A collaborative team player capable of proactively working with TSEs and Outside Sales teams.
• Proficient sales and negotiation skills.
• Self-motivated and driven, with the ability to work from a home office.
• Effective presentation and mentoring capabilities.
• Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Analytical skills for establishing local/regional strategies and evaluating success.
• Proficient in English with strong verbal and written skills.
• Extensive knowledge and high proficiency in relevant IT systems and MS Office applications.
• Valid driver's license, safe driving record, and eligibility for coverage by the company's liability insurance.
• Travel requirement of approximately 50%.
• Must be local or willing to relocate at personal expense.
