This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.
• Oversee a team of Account Executives within a specified region.
• Advocate for SHIELD to general-practice providers and their respective practices.
• Recruit, onboard, mentor, and lead Account Executives in the launch and promotion of SHIELD.
• Identify and target early adopters to foster SHIELD adoption.
• Establish and manage partnerships with national, regional, and local laboratories that provide phlebotomy draw agreements.
• Cultivate relationships and advocacy with key thought leaders and decision-makers.
• Supervise 8–12 direct reports.
• Enhance team performance through coaching, motivation, constructive feedback, and professional development.
• Manage regional sales objectives and report updates to management.
• Forecast and achieve quarterly and annual sales targets.
• Ensure the effective utilization of sales processes and authorized marketing and promotional materials.
• Share best practices at a national level.
• Handle open territories and recruit new personnel as necessary.
• Create and execute a regional business plan encompassing budgets, travel, territory management, and objectives.
• Gather and relay customer insights, market trends, and competitive intelligence.
• Present product technology and clinical advantages to clients.
• Collaborate with Key Account Managers and commercial team members to enhance health-system performance.
• Establish communication and operational mechanisms for the team.
• Utilize Medical Science Liaisons, Account Executives, and company resources to deliver technical, clinical, and business content.
• Lead and engage in regional, national, and cross-functional headquarters projects.
• Act as a backup for National Sales Director(s) as needed.
• Mentor individuals within or outside the commercial team.
• Ensure adherence to Quality, Regulatory, and Company policies and guidelines.
• Travel approximately 75% of working hours within the designated area, occasionally attending regional or national meetings.
• Travel with direct reports to observe, train, and coach.
• 7+ years of direct experience in a customer-facing sales position in the medical, diagnostic, or medical device sectors.
• Proven track record of closing deals throughout the sales cycle and consistently meeting or exceeding performance expectations.
• 3+ years of experience in a sales leadership or management role.
• Demonstrated revenue generation within a diagnostic, pharmaceutical, or relevant biotechnology organization.
• Proven experience leading sales teams that promote products or services directly to primary care providers, gastroenterologists, and their practices.
• Experience in a sales leadership capacity during product launches.
• Exceptional influencing, interpersonal, networking, oral, verbal communication, presentation, listening, negotiation, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
• Demonstrated capability to effectively coach and educate others.
• Experience with reach and frequency, high-decile healthcare-provider targeting, and production/coverage.
• Strong critical thinking and analytical abilities, including reporting and monitoring sales metrics.
• Ability to engage in consultative selling and effectively address objections and indifference.
• Comprehensive market, customer, distribution, and product knowledge.
• Strategic business analysis and planning capabilities.
• Ability to manage sensitive information with confidentiality.
• Proficient in developing and leveraging cross-functional relationships.
• Ability to work independently, communicate proactively, manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet critical deadlines.
• Strong administrative skills and adeptness in complex environments.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• Regular use of Salesforce.com.
• Experience with or coaching in various sales methodologies.
• Must fulfill customer access requirements.
• Must successfully pass a background check, including criminal history.
• A B.S. in life science, biology, business, or marketing is preferred but not required.
• Ability to critically assess and responsibly utilize AI-enabled tools in accordance with company policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements.
