This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Oversee CRM sales of Abbott products and/or services within the designated region.
• Assess market opportunities and sales potential to set and achieve sales and clinical goals.
• Mentor and guide territory managers and clinical specialists.
• Complete authorization training to facilitate CRM procedures and deliver effective clinical coaching.
• Support contract negotiations, customer interactions, performance management, and clinical skills development.
• Coach teams to adhere to CRM procedures, achieve safe outcomes, and promote ongoing education.
• Establish regional sales strategy and assist in executing the regional sales plan.
• Foster a safe learning environment and a positive team culture.
• Conduct weekly team calls, discovery workshops, regional meetings, and one-on-one discussions.
• Recruit, onboard, mentor, and develop direct reports.
• Set objectives, create development plans, and conduct annual performance evaluations.
• Lead customer and account engagement planning initiatives.
• Prepare forecasts for regional sales, assess market potential, and estimate sales expenses.
• Ensure accountability in sales and maintain forecasting accuracy.
• Travel with the team to engage with customers and enhance clinical competencies and sales efforts.
• Build collaborative relationships with marketing, training, enterprise accounts, and clinical trial teams.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Assist in case support, proctor planning, and resolving conflicts.
• Manage the annual regional budget and approve expense reports for direct reports.
• Complete vendor credentialing for hospital access as necessary.
• Stay updated on regulatory requirements, company products, market objectives, and industry trends.
• Address complex challenges and devise original solutions that significantly impact operations or budgets.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
• 8+ years of progressively responsible experience in Tachycardia/Bradycardia product areas or a related discipline.
• Preferred direct experience in CRM product sales.
• Demonstrated sales and clinical performance in the cardiology/cardiovascular sector.
• Capability to lead workstreams and initiatives employing critical thinking skills.
• Ability to oversee and assess direct reports’ clinical and sales objectives, quality, outcomes, and performance metrics.
• Experience working within a quality system environment and adhering to governmental regulations.
• Solutions-oriented, fact-based approach to problem-solving.
• Verification of satisfaction of vendor credentialing requirements, potentially including COVID-19 vaccination.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Prior commercial and clinical trial experience in cardiology/cardiovascular preferred.
• Documented experience in successfully leading sales and clinical teams preferred.
• Strong preference for candidates with Abbott cardiovascular experience.
• Must reside in the designated geographic region.
• Willingness to travel over 50% of the time depending on staffing and regional needs.
