This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +5 more states.
• Oversee the reimbursement landscape for Ipsen US oncology portfolio products within the healthcare provider sector.
• Cultivate relationships with local Medicare Administrative Contractors (MACs).
• Offer field-based reimbursement assistance to designated healthcare providers.
• Decode local and national payer policies, aiding customers with coding, coverage, and payment inquiries.
• Collaborate with Value & Access, field, sales, brand, and IPSEN CARES teams to enhance access and eliminate obstacles.
• Create and implement reimbursement strategies, tactics, tools, and approved field materials.
• Build and sustain relationships with MAC contacts.
• Provide reimbursement assistance at advisory boards and professional conferences.
• Act as an internal expert on field reimbursement and offer competitive intelligence.
• Identify reimbursement-related obstacles to access and advise Account Managers on payer challenges and trends.
• Support payer and healthcare provider presentations, along with reimbursement-related training initiatives.
• Meet target metrics for prompt customer reimbursement assistance.
• Aid in the analysis and planning associated with local payer coverage policy modifications.
• Interpret payer payment trends, policies, and relationships to mitigate non-clinical utilization barriers.
• Recognize and tackle reimbursement challenges impacting the adoption, utilization, and growth of oncology products.
• Supply market access intelligence for strategic initiatives across oncology care environments.
• Examine treatment patterns, referral networks, payer coverage trends, and site-of-care dynamics.
• Assist in regional reimbursement preparedness and access planning for the launch of new oncology products.
• Formulate launch-related reimbursement strategies, educational resources, and stakeholder engagement plans.
• Monitor trends in oncology market access, payer policies, prior authorization, step therapy, coding, payment, specialty pharmacy, and utilization management.
• Track competitive reimbursement and access developments while offering strategic recommendations.
• Analyze the impacts of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer policies.
• Establish relationships with oncology practice administrators, reimbursement specialists, infusion center leaders, and advocacy groups.
• Facilitate provider education and strategic conversations surrounding reimbursement and market access.
• Relay field insights to inform forecasting, lifecycle management, evidence dissemination, and product planning.
• Contribute to reimbursement resources, training programs, and field tools.
• A minimum of 10 years in the pharmaceutical, biotech, or consulting industry.
• At least 5 years of relevant reimbursement experience with injectable or infused drugs, or medical device products requiring reimbursement support.
• Expert-level understanding of coverage, coding, and payment policies.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong business acumen, analytical, administrative, and team-building abilities.
• Capacity to simplify complex messages and rationales in a compliant manner.
• Ability to work autonomously and lead effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced, and matrixed environment.
• Highest standards of personal integrity and ethics; strong judgment and discretion.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proficient in PC use; MSOffice applications (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), email, texting, mobile smartphone, Veeva CRM, and Concur expense reporting software.
• Physical capability to operate relevant machines and/or equipment as required.
• Willingness to work evenings and/or weekends as needed to fulfill business requirements.
• Ability to manage a vast geographic territory and work effectively from a home office, vehicle, or customer location.
• Business travel of up to 60%, including regular overnight travel by air or car.
• Must reside near a major airport within the region.
• Previous reimbursement support experience with physician-administered (“buy and bill”) oncology drugs is preferred.
• Strong preference for experience with Medicare Part D products.
• A Bachelor’s degree in public policy, economics, business administration, life sciences, or a related field is required.
• An advanced degree (MBA, MPH, MS) is preferred.
• Certification in Medical Coding is preferred.
