This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +5 more states.
• Oversee the reimbursement landscape for Ipsen products within the Neuroscience therapeutic area in the healthcare provider channel.
• Cultivate relationships with local Medicare Administrative Contractors (MACs).
• Deliver prompt, field-based reimbursement assistance to healthcare providers for Ipsen’s neurology therapies.
• Interpret local and national payer policies and guide customers on coding, coverage, and payment.
• Collaborate with Value & Access, field, sales, brand, and IPSEN CARES teams to enhance access and diminish obstacles.
• Create and develop reimbursement strategies, tactics, tools, and approved field materials.
• Establish and maintain relationships with MAC contacts.
• Offer reimbursement support at advisory boards and professional conferences.
• Act as an internal field reimbursement authority and provide competitive intelligence.
• Identify reimbursement-related access barriers and counsel Account Managers on payer challenges and trends.
• Assist in patient access across private practices, hospitals, academic institutions, thought leaders, advocates, and regional/state societies.
• Organize Ipsen presentations at payer and healthcare provider meetings.
• Meet metrics for timely responses to reimbursement support inquiries.
• Aid in the analysis and planning for local payer coverage policy modifications.
• Support the development of reimbursement training programs for healthcare providers.
• Collaborate with neurology commercial and market access teams to pinpoint barriers impacting product adoption, utilization, and growth.
• Provide field insights to enhance reach and utilization across academic centers, integrated health systems, and community neurology practices.
• Examine treatment patterns, referral networks, payer coverage trends, and site-of-care dynamics.
• Assist in readiness for new neurology product launches, including reimbursement, coding, coverage, and access planning.
• Supply market intelligence regarding payer policies, utilization management, specialty pharmacy, and competitive access during launches.
• Monitor trends in neurology market access, payer policies, prior authorization, step therapy, coding, payment, specialty pharmacy, and utilization management.
• Track developments in competitive reimbursement and access and recommend actions accordingly.
• Analyze the impact of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer policies.
• Observe site-of-care strategies, HCP reimbursement trends, and specialty drug management programs.
• Build relationships with neurology practice administrators, reimbursement specialists, infusion center leaders, and advocacy organizations.
• Support provider education and strategic discussions regarding reimbursement and market access.
• Contribute to forecasting, lifecycle management, evidence dissemination, and future product planning.
• Participate in the creation of reimbursement resources, training programs, and field tools.
• 10+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical, biotech, or consulting industry.
• 5+ years of relevant reimbursement experience with injectable or infused drugs, or medical device products requiring reimbursement support.
• In-depth knowledge of coverage, coding, and payment policies.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
• Strong business acumen, analytical, administrative, and team-building skills.
• Capability to simplify complex messages and rationales in a compliant manner.
• Proven ability to work independently and lead effectively in a fast-paced, highly fluid, matrixed environment.
• Unwavering personal integrity and ethics; strong judgment and discretion.
• Proficient with PCs, including MS Office, Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email, texting, mobile smartphones, Veeva CRM, and Concur.
• Physical capability to operate relevant machines and equipment as required.
• Willingness to work evening and/or weekend hours as needed.
• Ability to manage a large geographic territory and work from a home office, vehicle, or customer location.
• Business travel of up to 60%, including regular overnight travel by air or car.
• Must reside near a major airport within the New England region.
• A Bachelor’s degree in public policy, economics, business administration, life sciences, or a related field is required.
• Prior reimbursement support experience with physician-administered (“buy and bill”) oncology and neurology drugs is preferred.
• Experience with Medicare Part D products is strongly preferred.
• An advanced degree is preferred.
• Certification in Medical Coding is preferred.
