This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +2 more states.
• Oversee the reimbursement landscape for Ipsen’s US Neuroscience portfolio within the healthcare provider channel.
• Foster relationships with local Medicare Administrative Contractors (MACs).
• Offer field-based reimbursement assistance to selected healthcare providers for Ipsen’s neurology therapies.
• Interpret local and national payer policies while aiding customers with coding, coverage, and payment.
• Cover the Southeast region through both live and virtual means.
• Collaborate with Value & Access, sales, brand, and IPSEN CARES teams to enhance access and mitigate barriers.
• Design and implement reimbursement strategies, tactics, tools, and approved field resources.
• Build and sustain relationships with MAC contacts.
• Provide reimbursement support during advisory boards and professional conferences.
• Act as an internal field reimbursement authority and deliver competitive insights.
• Share reimbursement information with private practices, hospitals, academic institutions, thought leaders, advocates, and regional/state societies.
• Coordinate Ipsen presentations at payer and healthcare provider gatherings.
• Address customer reimbursement-support inquiries and meet target metrics.
• Evaluate shifts in local payer coverage policies and counsel Account Managers on access challenges and trends.
• Assist in reimbursement-related training initiatives for healthcare providers.
• Identify and resolve reimbursement and access obstacles that impact neurology product adoption, utilization, and growth.
• Provide field-based market access intelligence across academic centers, integrated health systems, and community neurology practices.
• Analyze treatment patterns, referral networks, payer coverage trends, and site-of-care dynamics.
• Ensure regional reimbursement readiness for the launch of new neurology products.
• Develop launch reimbursement strategies, educational resources, and stakeholder engagement plans.
• Monitor trends in payer coverage, prior authorization, step therapy, coding, payment, specialty pharmacy, and utilization management.
• Track competitive reimbursement and access developments and offer recommendations.
• Analyze policy changes affecting Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payers.
• Build relationships with neurology practice administrators, reimbursement specialists, infusion center leaders, and advocacy organizations.
• Support provider education and strategic dialogues concerning reimbursement and market access.
• Contribute to forecasting, lifecycle management, evidence dissemination, and future product planning.
• Play a role in creating reimbursement resources, training programs, and field tools.
• Over 10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical, biotech, or consulting industries.
• More than 5 years of relevant reimbursement experience with injectable or infused medications, or medical device products requiring reimbursement support.
• In-depth knowledge of coverage, coding, and payment policies.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
• Strong business acumen, analytical skills, administrative capabilities, and team-building expertise.
• Capacity to simplify complex messages and rationales in a compliant manner.
• Ability to work autonomously and lead effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced, and matrixed environment.
• Possess the highest level of personal integrity and ethics; demonstrate strong judgment and discretion.
• Proficient in PC applications, including MS Office, Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email, texting, mobile smartphone, Veeva CRM, and Concur expense reporting software.
• Physical capability to operate necessary machines and/or equipment as required.
• Willingness to work evenings and/or weekends as needed to fulfill business requirements.
• Ability to manage a broad geographic territory and operate effectively from a home office, vehicle, or customer location.
• Willingness to travel for business up to 60%, including regular overnight travel by air or car.
• Must live near a major airport within the region.
• A Bachelor’s degree in public policy, economics, business administration, life sciences, or an equivalent field is required.
• Previous reimbursement support experience with physician-administered (“buy and bill”) oncology and neurology medications is preferred.
• Experience with Medicare Part D products is strongly preferred.
• An advanced degree (MBA, MPH, MS) is preferred.
• Certification in Medical Coding is preferred.
