Regional Medical Scientific Director – Gynecologic Malignancies

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Facilitate a two-way exchange of scientific and medical information with Scientific Leaders.

• Deliver balanced, factual scientific information on non-product topics and address scientific inquiries, including those regarding Company products.

• Cultivate professional relationships with both national and regional Scientific Leaders.

• Engage in peer-to-peer scientific discussions and ensure a dependable presence as the company's medical contact.

• Respond to scientific inquiries and direct out-of-scope questions to the appropriate company resources.

• Stay updated on the scientific and clinical landscape within the relevant therapeutic area.

• Initiate conversations with Scientific Leaders and potential investigators about scientific/data exchange, research strategies, study concepts, scientific merit, and qualifications.

• Enhance comprehension of investigator-sponsored research foundations and objectives.

• Identify challenges related to patient enrollment and retention.

• Suggest study sites and pinpoint potential investigators for Phase II-IV clinical development programs.

• Conduct Site Initiation Visits and assist protocol leadership in collaboration with Global Clinical Trial Operations.

• Address inquiries from investigators and provide information about Company-sponsored clinical studies.

• Participate in scientific congresses and medical meetings, facilitating the exchange of scientific data.

• Collect feedback and insights concerning the medical or scientific needs, priorities, and concerns of Scientific Leaders and patients.

• Act as a role model and assist in onboarding while sharing therapeutic expertise.

• Contribute to fostering an inclusive environment and support efforts to create, lead, and retain the workforce.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of a PhD, PharmD, DNP, DO, or MD is required.

• At least 3 years of relevant therapeutic area experience beyond what was gained in the terminal degree program.

• Capability to conduct doctoral-level discussions with key external stakeholders.

• Commitment to scientific excellence with a strong emphasis on scientific education and dialogue.

• Exceptional stakeholder management, communication, and networking abilities.

• In-depth understanding of FDA, OIG, HIPAA, and other pertinent ethical guidelines, laws, and regulations.

• Competence in organizing, prioritizing, and functioning effectively in a dynamic environment.

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, OneNote).

• Familiarity with virtual meeting platforms.

• A desire to contribute to an inclusive and empowering environment.

• Consistent compliance with field and corporate policies, GMSA strategy, field SOPs, GCP guidelines, and administrative/operational duties.

• Candidates must reside within the territory that includes GA, FL, SC, AL, MS, and LA.

• Willingness to travel up to 50% within the territory.

• A valid driving license is required.

• Visa sponsorship is not available.

• Preferred: field-based medical experience, particularly in GYN Oncology.

• Preferred: experience in research.

• Preferred: a demonstrated history of scientific/medical publications.
