This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Iowa, +3 more states.
β’ Lead strategic operational initiatives associated with scientific innovation, resource allocation, organizational flexibility, and diverse talent acquisition.
β’ Participate in scientific dialogue and research collaboration with leading external experts and researchers in the field of Pulmonary Hypertension.
β’ Deliver balanced and factual scientific insights regarding non-product domains, company offerings, and internal data.
β’ Cultivate and nurture peer-level relationships with scientific leaders and researchers.
β’ Recognize and fulfill scientific requirements while ensuring access to medical and scientific information.
β’ Engage in peer-level scientific conversations and maintain a dependable Medical Affairs presence.
β’ Spearhead proactive discussions regarding disease states, diagnostics, epidemiology, unmet medical needs, and population health.
β’ Transform scientific knowledge into actionable insights for Research & Development and Human Health strategies.
β’ Relay external stakeholder perspectives, insights, and feedback to Medical Affairs headquarters teams.
β’ Represent Research & Development at scientific conferences and congresses, contributing to debriefings and post-congress documentation.
β’ Assist in company-sponsored trials and Investigator Study Programs.
β’ Identify potential investigators for Phase II-IV clinical development initiatives.
β’ Provide scientific backing for sponsored trials.
β’ Offer comprehensive scientific support to Health Systems Teams.
β’ Sustain expertise in disease and therapeutic areas through participation in conferences, workshops, and journal reviews.
β’ Adhere to company policies, legal standards, ethical guidelines, field SOPs, GCP protocols, and operational duties.
β’ Promote an inclusive, equitable, engaged, and empowering workplace culture.
β’ An M.D., Ph.D., Pharm.D., or relevant APP credential is required.
β’ A minimum of three years of experience in the biotech/pharmaceutical or healthcare sector.
β’ A minimum of three years of clinical and/or research experience in Cardiovascular & Pulmonary therapeutic areas beyond the terminal degree, showcasing scientific excellence, or five years of relevant Medical Scientific Liaison (MSL) experience with proven scientific merit.
β’ Strong interpersonal, communication, networking, and presentation abilities.
β’ Profound therapeutic knowledge and current awareness of Cardiovascular & Pulmonary/translational science trends.
β’ Capability to network and collaborate with scientific leaders, researchers, clinical practice authorities, academic institutions, and treatment guideline contributors.
β’ Recognition for scientific excellence in Cardiovascular & Pulmonary therapeutic areas is preferred.
β’ Clinical therapeutic-area practice and independent research/publication experience are highly desirable.
β’ Five years of prior experience in the pharmaceutical industry is preferred.
β’ Previous experience within the specified geography and established therapeutic-area stakeholder relations is preferred.
β’ Effective leadership skills are preferred.
β’ Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) is preferred.
β’ Ability to consolidate and comprehend complex data sets, conduct data analyses, summarize/synthesize data, and interpret results objectively is preferred.
β’ Familiarity with national and society treatment guidelines, clinical research procedures, FDA regulations, OIG, HIPAA, and relevant ethical guidelines, laws, and regulations is preferred.
β’ Strong organizational, prioritization, and adaptability skills in a dynamic environment are preferred.
β’ Willingness to travel up to 50%, including overnight trips.
β’ Must reside within the designated Central Plains territory: Missouri, Kansas, Arkansas, Nebraska, or Iowa.
