This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +4 more states.
β’ Lead strategic operational initiatives focused on growth, scientific innovation, and organizational evolution.
β’ Participate in scientific discussions and offer research support in collaboration with external scientific leaders and researchers in Pulmonary Hypertension.
β’ Deliver balanced and factual scientific information regarding non-product areas, company products, and company data.
β’ Cultivate and oversee peer-level relationships with national, regional, and clinical practice scientific leaders and researchers.
β’ Recognize and address scientific requirements while ensuring access to medical and scientific information.
β’ Engage in proactive non-product conversations covering disease states, diagnosis, epidemiology, unmet medical needs, and population health.
β’ Facilitate the exchange of scientific information and provide actionable insights that inform Research & Development and Human Health strategies.
β’ Relay opinions, insights, and feedback from external stakeholders to Medical Affairs headquarters teams.
β’ Represent Research & Development at scientific meetings and congresses, contributing to debriefs, insight discussions, and post-congress reports.
β’ Assist with company-sponsored trials and Investigator Study Programs as needed.
β’ Identify potential investigators for phase II-IV clinical development programs and support sponsored trials.
β’ Offer detailed scientific support to Health Systems Teams.
β’ Maintain expertise in disease and therapeutic areas through conferences, workshops, and journal reviews.
β’ Adhere to company policies, applicable laws, regulations, ethical standards, field SOPs, GCP guidelines, and administrative responsibilities.
β’ Foster an environment of belonging, engagement, and empowerment.
β’ M.D., Ph.D., Pharm.D., or APP relevant to the Pulmonary Hypertension field.
β’ A minimum of three years in the biotech/pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
β’ Three years of clinical and/or research experience beyond the terminal degree program in Cardiovascular & Pulmonary therapeutic areas, demonstrating scientific excellence, or five years of Medical Scientific Liaison experience in relevant therapeutic areas with proven scientific excellence.
β’ Strong interpersonal, communication, networking, and presentation skills.
β’ Comprehensive therapeutic knowledge and understanding of current trends in Cardiovascular & Pulmonary/translational science.
β’ Capability to network and collaborate with scientific leaders, investigators, clinical practice leaders, academic institutions, and members of treatment guidelines.
β’ Preferred recognition for scientific excellence in Cardiovascular & Pulmonary therapeutic fields.
β’ Preferred clinical therapeutic area practice and independent research/publication experience.
β’ Preferred five years of prior pharmaceutical industry experience in the relevant therapeutic area/disease state.
β’ Preferred previous experience within the specified geography and established stakeholder relationships.
β’ Proven effective leadership abilities.
β’ Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
β’ Ability to consolidate and comprehend complex data sets, plan and/or execute data analyses, summarize or synthesize data, and objectively interpret results.
β’ Knowledge of national and society treatment guidelines, clinical research processes, FDA regulations, OIG, HIPAA, and other pertinent ethical guidelines, laws, and regulations.
β’ Proficient in organizing, prioritizing, and working effectively in a dynamic environment.
β’ Must reside within the designated South Central territory: Tennessee, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, or Kentucky.
β’ Valid driving license necessary.
β’ Willingness to travel 50% of the time.
