This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Supervise a wide array of delivery projects to meet client expectations for both hardware and software Lifecycle Management.
• Manage teams operating multiple mainframes utilizing z/OS systems.
• Lead efforts related to Console/Batch Monitoring, Scheduling, DB2, IMS, CICS, Storage, and associated technologies.
• Anticipate client needs and proactively integrate them into client roadmaps.
• Influence both internal and external stakeholders at various levels.
• Articulate complex technical subjects with clarity, conciseness, and effectiveness.
• Guide the organization through cross-functional and collaborative initiatives.
• Collaborate with solutioning and sales teams to develop new opportunities and support presales activities.
• Mentor and coach managers, nurturing talent through effective talent management practices.
• Provide guidance and leadership to the functional organization.
• Navigate through ambiguity and establish clear direction.
• Utilize systems and data to inform decisions, monitor progress, and drive results.
• Create, evaluate, and ensure the achievement of personnel, departmental, and organizational objectives.
• Engage in and offer timely responses to all internal and external audits.
• A minimum of 12 years of relevant experience along with a bachelor’s degree; equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Direct experience with mainframes is essential.
• Familiarity with various mainframe technical environments is required.
• Proficiency in one or more mainframe infrastructure, hardware, system programming technologies, and/or application development.
• Alternative experiences should demonstrate a high learning agility to grasp mainframe technology knowledge and apply prior experiences to achieve operational results.
• Capability to manage relationships upwards, downwards, and across organizations, clients, and/or functions.
• Strong communication skills to effectively lead at the client, team, and business unit levels.
• Proven experience in leading complex projects and programs.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Project.
• Preferred: experience in the financial or banking sector.
• Preferred: expertise in one or more areas of mainframe discipline.
• Preferred: ITIL or ITSM oversight, or proficiency in Release, Change, and CMDB processes.
• Preferred: understanding of system IPL processes.
• Preferred: familiarity with ISPF/TSO.
• Preferred: experience with project management methodologies such as PMI-ACP, PMP, PRINCE, or PMBOK.
