Director of Construction Delivery

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Establish a portfolio-wide construction strategy and manage delivery risks across all active sites, whether they are leased or owned.

• Handle escalations related to General Contractor (GC) and landlord relationships on leased properties.

• Directly negotiate GC selection, Requests for Proposals (RFPs), and contracts (either Guaranteed Maximum Price or lump-sum) for owned, powered-land sites.

• Take charge of the tenant/fit-out delivery timeline on leased properties.

• Manage the complete entitlement-to-Certificate of Occupancy (CO) schedule and budget for owned sites.

• Act as the representative for construction delivery to the Vice President of Development & Construction.

• Supervise the Regional Construction Managers along with the Startup and Turnover Manager.

• Lead the design team (architect/engineer) on projects located on owned sites.

• Coordinate site development sequencing (grading, foundations, shell, core) with Civil Engineering and Energy teams.

• Oversee cost and schedule control interfaces related to the Construction Delivery function.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.

• A minimum of 12 years of leadership experience in construction management and delivery within mission-critical environments.

• Experience that includes oversight as an owner's representative or landlord-managed projects, as well as principal involvement in ground-up construction.

• Demonstrated success in managing large-scale, complex construction programs and budgets exceeding $25M.

• Familiarity with hyperscaler or colocation build programs (including AWS, Google, Meta, Microsoft, or similar) and/or ground-up data center development as a principal, from land acquisition to CO, is preferred.

• Experience in managing relationships with capital partners or joint venture stakeholders throughout the development lifecycle is a plus.

• PMP or CCM (Certified Construction Manager) certification is preferred.

• Willingness to travel frequently across the active site portfolio.

• Capability to present construction risks directly to executive leadership.
