Director – Thriving Ys

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Deliver specialized consulting services aimed at identifying and implementing operational enhancement strategies for YMCAs.

• Coordinate projects alongside Service Partners, Alliance Partners, Y-USA staff, and local YMCAs.

• Create and implement operational improvement or support plans tailored for local YMCAs.

• Offer education and consulting regarding strategic collaborations with Alliances.

• Mediate and facilitate resolutions concerning service area disputes.

• Provide educational resources and consulting on the development of new YMCA corporate structures and branches.

• Advise on training and recruitment processes for interim CEO candidates.

• Maintain an exclusive database of subject-specific resources, best practices, and information through Y Profile and LINK.

• Keep abreast of developments and leverage advanced knowledge and tools to support Network Partners.

• Serve as the main contact for a designated topic area within Y-USA’s knowledge platform.

• Develop engagement strategies, oversee community moderation, enhance local moderator capabilities, analyze reports and analytics, and manage content curation and creation.

• Carry out additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree or higher is required in a relevant field such as Business or related disciplines.

• A minimum of 8–12 years of experience is required.

• Possess expert functional skills.

• Hold advanced industry knowledge and experience.

• Demonstrate advanced managerial capabilities.

• Experience in managing multiple teams or functions is essential.

• Have strategic and operational decision-making authority.

• Ability to manage highly complex tasks and oversee managerial responsibilities.

• Capable of working with minimal supervision.
