This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Provide direct oversight, mentorship, and leadership for a team of Therapeutic Sales Specialists within a designated district.
• Formulate and execute business plans for the assigned districts.
• Support sales representatives in adopting innovative working methods via a next-best-action engine.
• Implement strategies and directives for the Specialty Franchise.
• Collaborate with Commercial Operations to enhance field force alignment.
• Promote engaging customer interactions through both virtual and in-person selling opportunities.
• Cultivate and build a high-performing, diverse team by attracting, selecting, nurturing, and retaining talent.
• Establish relationships and generate innovative ideas and solutions within an emerging biopharmaceutical organization.
• Ensure that product strategies and messaging are effectively communicated and executed as planned.
• Carry out objective analysis to support CRM and customer engagement through the Azurity Commercial Excellence platform.
• Oversee sales force strategy and analysis, including targeting, territory alignment, reporting requirements, and incentive plans.
• Implement strategies to enhance sales routing and overall operational efficiency.
• Collaborate on training initiatives to ensure product knowledge, selling skills, system proficiency, and accurate reporting.
• Provide leadership and direction to capitalize on business opportunities and address customer needs.
• Work with HR on recruitment initiatives, employee development, and performance management strategies.
• Gather and assess internal and external data to inform business decisions.
• Report to the Sales Director and engage with cross-functional teams, including Commercial Operations & Analytics, Marketing, Market Access & Strategic Accounts, Sales Training, Regulatory, Medical Affairs, Legal, Compliance, and Finance.
• Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS) is required; an MBA or advanced degree is advantageous.
• A minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in specialty pharmaceutical sales, encompassing field sales management and product launch experience as both a representative and sales leader.
• Proficiency in developing sales strategies and optimizing customer-facing organizations within multi-channel environments, particularly with a strong track record related to pharmacy.
• Exceptional leadership, team-building, and organizational capabilities.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop sales professionals.
• Competence in coordinating functional business activities.
• Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills.
• Experience in utilizing syndicated sales data by customer channel, as well as longitudinal patient-level and payer-level data.
• Excellent communication and influencing abilities across all levels of the organization.
• Capability to work effectively within a team environment and achieve consensus.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven setting while managing multiple product launches across various therapeutic areas.
• Solid understanding of the pharmaceutical regulatory/legal framework and compliance requirements, including the PhRMA Code.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the retail and institutional markets.
• Familiarity with CRM call reporting and dashboard systems.
• High proficiency with Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook.
• Willingness to travel approximately 75%, including overnight stays.
• Must be able to sit for extended periods; frequently stand, walk, talk, and/or hear.
• Occasional climbing of stairs and/or use of elevators may be required.
• Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to operate a keyboard, telephone, and handheld devices.
• Annual bonus contingent on company performance.
